Evelyn Joyce Lovin, age 85, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away on Dec. 30, 2018, at the WellStar/Twin Fountains Home in LaGrange, Georgia. She was born on May 27, 1933, to Horace and Clara Lynch. 

Evelyn was married to Robert B. Lovin for 54 years until his death in 2009.  Evelyn graduated from LaGrange High School in 1950 and that same year, began a 53-year career with Callaway Mills (later Milliken Mills), retiring in 2003. 

Evelyn was baptized and joined Callaway Baptist Church in March 1960.  She was a member of Callaway Baptist Church for more than 58 years, where she had previously served as a Sunday school teacher, member of the choir and the Leisure Times. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her two sisters, Miss Helen Lynch and Mrs. Eva Joe Eady and brother-in-law Robert Eady, as well as several aunts and uncles.

Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Dennis Lovin (Velma) and Rob Lovin (Gwen); five grandchildren, Jamie Pendergrass (Josh), Jason Lovin, James Lovin (Kelli), Jared Lovin (Lauren), all of LaGrange, and Jacob Lovin (Ann Katherine) of Auburn, Alabama; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Lovin, Cameron Lovin and Dustin Pendergrass, all of LaGrange; two nieces, Joyce Eady Meyers (Ernest, Jr.) of Plano, Texas and Jill Eady Mitchell (John) of Montgomery, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at 3 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with the Rev. Sid Shelnutt officiating.

Interment will follow the service at Meadoway Gardens.  Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
