The LaGrange Lady Grangers were unable to overcome a difficult fourth quarter, and a massive disadvantage at the free-throw line, on the way to a 52-44 loss to Cedartown on Saturday.

LaGrange (8-7 overall) fell to 0-2 in Region 5-AAAA after dropping its region opener to Central-Carroll on Friday.

LaGrange led 35-30 after three quarters, but it was outscored 22-9 in the final eight minutes.

Cedartown won in large part because of its ability to get to the tree throw line.

Cedartown was 23-of-30 from the free-throw line, and it made 13 free throws in the fourth quarter.

LaGrange, meanwhile, was 2-of-6 from the free-throw line for the game, and it only attempted one free throw in the second half.

Katelyn Hill had a big game for LaGrange with 19 points, and she made five 3-pointers.

Zaria Russell added 10 points while making a pair of 3-pointers.

Cedartown was ahead 10-8 after the first quarter, and LaGrange led 21-20 at the half before extending its lead in the third quarter.

KeKe Turner led Cedartown with 15 points, and she was 9-of-11 from the free-throw line.
