James Edward Silvels, born Feb. 13, 1950, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at Florence Hand Nursing Home. Memorial services for James Silvels will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant CME Church, Hwy 109 East, Greenville Road.  The Rev. Eddie L. Copeland will officiate. Local survivors include his mother, Mrs. Annie Silvels; and cousin, Lonnie Hollis. West Georgia Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
