Mrs. Betty Taylor Brazil, 82, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at her home.

Mrs. Brazil was born Feb. 21, 1936, in Draketown in Haralson County, daughter of the late James Floyd Taylor and Louise Hannah Taylor Phillips. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she was a retired district manager for Liberty National Life Insurance Co. and Combined Insurance Co.

Survivors include her children, Bobby Charles Brazil Jr. and his wife Tammy, Stacey Ann Barber and her husband, David (Buddy), Warner Ronnie Brazil, and Mattieline Renae Brazil, all of Hogansville; 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Charles Brazil, Sr.; her son, Richard Floyd Brazil; her daughter, Sherry Yvonne Brazil; and her granddaughter, Heather Louise Brazil.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, in the chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons. The Rev. Jody Mitchell and the Rev. William Murphy will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 9  p.m. Friday night.
