Patricia Elaine Whatley, 71, of LaGrange, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019.

Mrs. Whatley was born April 29, 1947, in LaGrange, Georgia, to the late Joel Davis Gladney Jr. and Mildred Underwood Gladney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Ware; sister, Cheryl McGinnis and her nephew, Jay Gladney.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth “Bubba” Whatley; son, Thomas “Mark” (Dana) Ware; grandchildren, Natalie (Denver) Carter and Clayton Ware; great-grandchildren, Robert “Reid” Carter, Amelia (Millie) Carter; brother; Joel (Tess) Gladney; nephew, Mitch (Jawan) McGinnis; nieces, Tava Stewart and Valarie (Tyler) Melton.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with the Rev. Mitch McGinnis and the Rev. Cleve Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
