CARROLLTON – The Troup Lady Tigers keep on rolling.

Troup (11-5 overall) eased past Central-Carroll 43-32 on Tuesday night to improve to 4-1 in Region 5-AAAA while winning for the 11th time in 13 games.

Jada Green led Troup with 14 points, Aniya Palmer added 12 points, and Amber Gilbert and Samarria Weldon contributed six points apiece.

Gilbert was 4-for-4 on free-throw attempts.

Troup was down 11-6 after the opening quarter, but it charged back to take a 16-15 lead at the half.

Troup was ahead 28-20 through three quarters, and it outscored Central 15-12 in the final period to win going away.

In the boys’ game, Troup (11-6 overall) fell to 3-2 in the region with the 64-61 loss.

Trailing by seven late, the Tigers got within three and had the ball in the closing seconds, but a potential game-tying 3-pointer didn’t find the mark.

Jaquavo McFarland led Troup with 26 points, and Joko Willis added 10 points.

Troup’s teams will visit Cartersville on Friday before returning home to face Chapel Hill on Saturday.
