LaGrange’s Isaiah Coleman and Matt Callaway walked away with individual championships, and Hunter Brooks finished third during the Smiths Station Invitational.

LaGrange finished sixth out of 20 teams.

Coleman, a freshman, earned the top spot in the 106-pound division.

“He’s going to be a special one,” LaGrange head coach Scooter Weathers said. “If he stays with it and works like he’s done the last month, he can do something really nice. He can make some noise, maybe get on the podium (at state).”

Callaway took top honors at 132 pounds for his first individual championship of the season.

“He had a couple of tough matches getting to the finals,” Weathers said. “He wrestled really well.”

Brooks took third place at 120 pounds.

“He’s really coming around,” Weathers said. “He’s turned it up a notch.”

Jacob Anderson and Christian Whaley both won matches.
