Dorothy “Dot” Webb Bonner

Dorothy “Dot” Webb Bonner, 93, of LaGrange, Georgia passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at WellStar West Georgia Hospice.

Mema, as she was called by her grandchildren, was born to the late Otis Cleveland “O.C.” Webb and Chloel Gamble Webb. She graduated valedictorian from Mountville High School and was a secretary at Callaway Mills for a number of years. Mrs. Bonner was a faithful member of Dunson Baptist Church and volunteered at the hospital when it was City-County Hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon Richard Bonner, Jr., and three brothers, Wade, Ray and Raymond Webb.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann Bartlett; grandchildren, Sammie (Rusty) Burleson, Eddie (Kim) Bartlett, Chris (Diane) Bartlett, Jay (Gina) Bartlett; eight great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

The gathering of family and friends will be 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with the Rev. Kenneth Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
