Mrs. Ophelia Ellenburg, 74, of LaGrange passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Ellenburg was born Aug. 25, 1944, in Camllia, Georgia, the daughter of the late Clarence and Ella Brumbeloe. Ophelia was a homemaker and a former member of the Bethel Chapel Baptist Church on Handley Street.

Survivors include her loving husband, Ernest Ellenburg; sons, James Clifford Hale, Jr., Carl David (Andrea’) Ellenburg; grandchildren,  Kim (Ben) McGuffin, David Cosley, Jessica (Kevin) Gentry, Melissa (Frisco) Gay, Josh Hale; 13 great grandchildren Kainnan, Keenan, Kollyn, Kollsyn, Kaitlyn, Gavyn, Adalyn, Chloe, Keeley, Teddy, Julie, Hailey, Allison; daughter-in-law, Teresa Hale.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ophelia Ellenburg will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, from the chapel of the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home with the Rev.  Bryan Geter and the Rev. Danny Geter officiating. Interment will follow on the family plot in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
