Scott Stricklin, the head baseball coach at the University of Georgia, will be the keynote speaker at the LaGrange High Blue Sox First Pitch Kick-off Dinner.

The event will be held on Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Del’avant in LaGrange.

Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased by emailing the ticket request to Lisa L. Alford at lisaalford@charter.net

Tickets are required to attend.

The members of the 2019 LaGrange High baseball team will be introduced, as will Donnie Branch, who is returning as head coach.

The 2018 season was Georgia’s best during Stricklin’s five years at Georgia.

The Bulldogs finished with a 39-20 record, and they made it to the NCAA Super Regional before losing at home to the Duke Blue Devils.

One of Georgia’s players is LaGrange High graduate Logan Moody, who will be a pitcher this season after playing the outfielder during his previous years.
