Mr. Donnie Burks Sr. passed away Sunday.

He was born Dec. 24, 1954, to the late, James Andrew Burks, Sr. and Katie Burks in Troup County, Georgia.

He was a member of Come this Far by Faith Church.

Survivors include his son, Donnie (Tasha) Burks Jr.; daughter, Kimberly Burks (Marco) McGee; three step-children,  Tomekia (Darral) Anderson, Roxie Burks and Quincey Burks; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren; two sisters, Apostle Mary Edwards, of Hogansville, Georgia, and Anita (Curry) Delaney, of LaGrange, Georgia; three brothers, Jack (Dorothy) Burks, Ronnie (Gail) Burks, both of LaGrange, Georgia; Douglas (Debbie) Burks, of Newnan, Georgia; two sisters-in-law.\, Gloria Burks, LaGrange, Georgia; and Janice Todd, West Point, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friend. The service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Come this Far by Faith Church. The excellent care of Mr. Burks is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
