The LaGrange Downtown Development Authority announced Friday that the first Hope Givers Mental Wellness & Music Festival will take place at Sweetland Amphitheatre on Saturday, May 11.

The event is billed as a “celebration of music, inspiration, hope, and education — featuring national headlining artists.” The lineup announcement will take place on Monday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m.

Mental wellness workshops will also be available throughout the day at the amphitheater and will include youth mental health first aid training, yoga and mindfulness, a local/regional resources meet and greet and testimonies of hope through resilience from TEDx and world-renowned speakers. Gates will open at noon for food trucks, artist vendors, interactive art installations, local and regional live music and fun, along with enough hope and inspiration to last 364 days until next year’s Hope Giver’s Fest.

The HOPE GIVERS Mental Wellness + Music festival is an annual fundraiser for the Georgia-based 501(c)3 IAMHOLDENON. All of the proceeds generated from the festival support creating content, curriculum and camps that promote positive mental wellness and suicide prevention.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 1 at 10 a.m.
