Mr. Ellis Flournoy

Mr. Ellis Flournoy, 91, of LaGrange passed away Sunday Feb. 24, 2019, at Twin Fountains Home. Mr. Flournoy was born May 25, 1927, in Newnan, Georgia, the son of the late Dewey and Maude Flournoy. 

Ellis was a World War II veteran of the United States Army serving his country from September 1946 through December 1947 assigned to the 19th Infantry Regiment in Beppu Japan as a rifleman. An upholster by trade, he was the owner and operator of Flournoy Upholstery until his retirement.  Ellis was a former member of Union Lodge # 28 F. & A. M, Yarrab Temple of Atlanta and LaGrange Shrine club where he was past president.

Survivors include, his wife, Onnie Belle Flournoy; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie (Larry) Johnson; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike (Donna) Flournoy and Steve (Terita) Flournoy; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren

Funeral services for Mr. Ellis Flournoy will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday from the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with the Rev. Mark Peak officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home (Tuesday) afternoon from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. the service hour. A family interment will follow the service in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.
