Mr. John David Hamilton, age 81, passed away on February 23, 2019 at his home in LaGrange.  Mr. Hamilton was born on July 29, 1937 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Royer Taylor Hamilton and Louise Palmer Hamilton.  He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard and held a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University. Survivors include his daughters, Angie Hamilton of Las Vegas, Nevada and Lynn Murphy and her husband Pat of Peachtree City, Georgia; grandchildren, Lindsey Durden, Melissa Bury and her husband Chris, Ian Murphy and Payton Murphy; extended family and friends.

Services for Mr. Hamilton will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel.  Family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, family request that donations be made to the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Feeding America Project at www.lambdachi.org/feeding-america-2/  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.higginsfuneralhomes.com.  Higgins LaGrange Chapel, 706-884-7117.
