Mrs. Ima Jene Townsend Moon, age 81, of LaGrange, passed away on March 4, 2019 at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice.  Mrs. Moon was born on June 13, 1937, in Heard County, Georgia to the late David B. Townsend and Ollie Mae Bennett Townsend.  

She worked at Playtex for many years and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Duwayne Moon and eight siblings. Survivors include her son, Richard Wayne Moon; brother, Harvey Townsend; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.  

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with the Rev. S.T.
