The LaGrange Police Department is looking for a man who is wanted for aggravated assault, cruelty to child and stalking.

According to the LPD, Taverus Coverson is a 29-year-old black male who is around 5 feet 10 inches tall. There are warrants for his arrest through the Troup County Sheriff’s Office and the LPD.

“I hope that someone will see him, someone that knows him, and do the right thing,” LPD Detective Charles Brown said. “Let us know and try to get him in custody.”

LPD has reason to believe that Coverson could be in the Pine Mountain area.

Brown said that the victim was in a safe place, and her continued safety had been confirmed as of Monday.
