Lyra Dunlap passed away Tuesday. She was born October 2, 1958 in Pine Mountain, Georgia to Leila P. Brown and the late, Willie Henry Scott. She was a member of the New Life Community Baptist Church and employed by Harris County Board of Education.

Survivors inlcude her companion, Stephen Leo Gamble; her mother, Lelia P. Brown; one daughter, Shantiny Dunlap; two sons:  Cedric Brown and Shaquille Gamble; one granddaughter, Jalissa White; two sisters:  Majorie Fitzpatrick and Sharon Scott Jackson; three brothers:  Willie (Shontae) Brown, Tim (Beverly) Brown, Marcus Brown; one uncle, three aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The Service will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at New Life Community Baptist Church.  The family will be at their home at 145 Georgia Street.

The excellent care of Ms. Dunlap  is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
