Storage lockers broken into on New Franklin Road on Monday

The Troup County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after locks were cut and several storage units were entered at New Franklin Road Self Storage. 

According to the sheriff’s office incident reports, there were 22 incidents of criminal trespass reported Monday at 1225 New Franklin Road, the address of the storage company. The incidents begin at 10:40 a.m. and end at 12:10 p.m., according to the reports.

Sgt. Stewart Smith with the TCSO said in most instances there were locks cut but nothing taken.

However, two televisions, a computer, a vacuum, a tiller, a watch and two rings were all stolen in the incident. It was unclear how many storage units had items stolen.
