The City of LaGrange wants to alert residents Country Club Road from the roundabout to Hollis Hand Elementary School will be down to one lane from Monday, April 8th through Friday, April 12th.

Crews will be milling, or grinding, the asphalt on the roadway. This is the first step in repaving the Country Club Road.

Crews will also begin construction of a roundabout at the new Hills and Dales Farm Road and Country Club Road.

There will be no traffic issues related to this project. This project will be happening simultaneously.

Motorists are advised to use caution and expect traffic delays.

Discussion for updates to Country Club Road date back to 2018, when the LaGrange City Council discussed the need for repaving the road due to settling of the road following a sewer infrastructure project in August.

“The contractor that put the pipeline in really did not cut in the way they should have,” said Dion Senn, LaGrange public services director, back in an August council meeting.

The roundabout that will be put in at the intersection of the new Hills and Sales Farm Road and Country Club Road will be the second of its kind on the road. The first, located at the intersection of Country Club Road and Broad Street, was finished in 2017.
