Mr. George Heard, Jr. passed away Tuesday. He was born July 22, 1935 in Troup County, Georgia to the late George Heard, Sr. and Nellie Davidson. He served in the US Army.

Survivors include five sons:  Horace Cofield, Jerry Cofield, Melvin Cofield, Shawn Cofield, all of LaGrange, GA; Danny Cofield, Kentucky; two daughters:  Hattie Ruth Childs and Margie Cofield, both of LaGrange, GA: one sister; one sister-in-law; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The Service will be Thursday at 2:00 PM at Confidence Baptist Church. The family will be at their home at 201 Ware Street.
