CEDARTOWN – The Troup Tigers fell out of first place in Region 5-AAAA with Friday’s 8-3 road loss to Cedarotwn.

Troup fell to 8-2 in the region, and it is a game behind Cartersville with two region games remaining.

Troup plays LaGrange twice next week to complete region play.

Monday’s game is at Troup, and LaGrange will be the host team on Wednesday.

In Friday’s game, Cooper Doughman hit a solo home run to highlight Troup’s offensive effort.

Colby Williams added two hits, Ethan Morton had a hit and an RBI, and Caleb McCurry, Cade Garner, Daniel Martin and Brett Haynes each had a hit.
