Mr. Calvin Lee Meadows, age 80, of LaGrange, passed away on May 2, 2019 at his residence.  Mr. Meadows was born on August 2, 1938 in Randolph County, Alabama to the late Otis Meadows and Mary Lewis Meadows.  A graduate of LaGrange High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired from the United States Postal Service as Assistant Post Master.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Coleman Meadows.  Survivors include his wife, Mae Taylor Meadows; sons, Greg Jackson and his wife Penny, K.T. Jackson, III and his wife Pam, Phil Jackson and his wife Mandy and Steve Jackson; daughters, Deborah Meadows and Marie Mercer and her husband George; brother, Carter Meadows; sister, Kathalene Teague; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; extended family and friends.  Services for Mr. Meadows will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 5:00 pm at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with Sheriff James Woodruff delivering the eulogy.  Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 pm until service hour at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, family has respectfully requested that donations be made to the LaGrange- Troup County Humane Society at www.lagrangehumane.org or the charity of your choice.
