Emily (Smith) Spencer, 31, of Flowery Branch, Georgia and a former resident of LaGrange passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, Georgia.

Emily was born Aug. 12, 1987, in Columbus the daughter of Rebecca and Frank H. Smith, Sr. She was a 2005 graduate of LaGrange High School and furthered her education at Emmanuel College graduating in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree. A former Pre-K teacher she and her husband were currently house parents at Eagle Ranch in Flowery Branch, Georgia.

Survivors include, her husband,  John M. Spencer of Flowery Branch; son, Micah Spencer; daughter, Tatum Spencer; parents, Frank and Rebecca Smith of LaGrange, Georgia; brothers and sister-in-law, Hutch (Alex) Smith of Dalton, Georgia; Zac Smith of LaGrange, Georgia; mother-in-law, Shelia Spencer of Deland, Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Rebekkah Spencer of Forth Worth, Texas; Joshua and JoAnn Spencer of Maryland; sister-in-law, Jennifer Spencer of Durham, North Carolina.

Funeral services for Emily (Smith) Spencer will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2019, from Callaway Baptist Church. with The Rev.’s Kevin McCoy, Irby Stanley and Mr. Andy Nelson officiating. A private family interment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
