The Young Singers of West Georgia present their Spring Concert: Out of this World to be held this Saturday, May 11 at 7 p.m. at the Callaway Auditorium on the Lagrange College Campus.

Over one hundred young performers, ages 8-18, will come together to bring this production to our community. Guests will enjoy beautiful harmonies and entertaining numbers from these talented artists. The performance will cross multiple genres including Broadway, cinema and pop culture, with each song fitting into the “Out of this World” theme.

Young Singers of West Georgia is a vocal instructional school focused on choral and ensemble singing that has been inspiring excellence in students since 1995.  The program extends beyond the stage with weekly classes and multiple performances throughout the year.

“The Young Singers have enjoyed a year of community charity performances including the Peace Concert, Hope for a Day, and LaGrange Has Talent (Top Ten) to name a few,” Artistic Director and Conductor Stacey Hardigree said.  “Our annual Christmas Memories show at LaGrange High School was a standout performance, and we appeared five times on Atlanta’s Fox 5 Good Day Atlanta Christmas Morning special as a result!”

After the show, the singers will begin work on their second video project for “A Whole New World.” They have also been invited to perform the National Anthem at the Atlanta Braves game on June 10.

Out of this World will be held on Saturday, May 11 at 7 p.m. at the Callaway Auditorium on the Lagrange College Campus. Tickets may be purchased online at Lsparts.org, by visiting the LSPA offices at 214 Bull Street in downtown LaGrange, or by calling (706) 882-9909.

Open auditions for the Young Singers of West Georgia will be held soon for the upcoming season and interested students may email yswg@lsparts.org for more information.
