Mary Alice Rachel, 83, formerly of Lagrange passed away last Tuesday at Grady Memorial Hospital. Ms. Mary Alice Rachel the daughter of the late Wilson and Eula Mae Rachel was born in Troup County. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church on Fairburn Rd in Atlanta.

Survivors include three sons, Alexander and Eddie E. Rachel of Atlanta; and Pernell Rachel of Fort Lauderdale, Fl., and one daughter, Jarvis Annette Rachel of Atlanta, close family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Smyrna Baptist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Walls officiating and the Rev. Douglas Stowers eulogist. The interment will be in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of her sister Polly Rachel at 502 Hines Street. A service entrusted to Mackey-Wilson-Jennings Funeral Home.
