It’s decision day for the Lafayette Christian School Cougars.

Lafayette Christian School and Peachtree Academy split a doubleheader on Tuesday, setting up today’s winner-take-all game in the Georgia Independent Christian Athletic Association championship series.

While Lafayette Christian is attempting to win the school’s first state championship in baseball, Peachtree Academy is going for its third consecutive state title.

Today’s game will be played at Troup High, with first pitch set for 6 p.m.

Lafayette Christian won Tuesday’s first game 4-3, with Adam Barnett’s base hit in the bottom of the eighth inning driving in the winning run.

In the second game, the Cougars were unable to get much going offensively in the 1-0 loss.

It was the Cougars’ first state-playoff loss after five consecutive wins.
