Eldridge E. Lumpkin, 75, of LaGrange, GA passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Hospice LaGrange.

Mr. Lumpkin was born April 1, 1944 in Chambers County, AL, son of the late Glenn Edmon Eldridge Lumpkin and Sara Bell Smith Lumpkin.  He was a life-long member, and former Deacon, of Teaver Road Baptist Church and was retired from Uniroyal Tire Company.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret White and Eva Mae Slay, brothers, Jasper Lumpkin, Archie Lumpkin, and Leroy Lumpkin, and a grandchild, Harley Elizabeth Ree Dobson.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Nonnie Noles Lumpkin; children, Sandy Brown, Wade (Laura) Lumpkin, Michael (MyLynda) Smith, Dana Walker, Rhonda (Max) Horne, and Bonnie (Eddie) Dobson; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Duvard Lumpkin; sisters, Betty Jean Hunt, Mary Lumpkin, and Shelia Lumpkin; and numerous nieces, nephews,  and extended family.

Celebration of life service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Ben Turner and Rev. Danny Geter officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.  The gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
