The LaGrange Daily News has been named the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce 2019 Small Business of the Year. The award, which was presented to the newspaper at the May Early Bird Breakfast on May 14, was the first of its kind won by the LDN since the chamber began distributing the award in 2010. 

“We’re thrilled to receive this recognition from the chamber for the work our staff has done over the course of the past year,” Publisher Baker Ellis said. “While we do not mark the success or failure of our endeavors through winning awards, we appreciate the community’s acknowledgment of the work done by our staff. We have a great group of people who enjoy working together and work extremely hard, and I’m proud of them for earning this recognition.”

Axis Dental Milling, Chattabrewchee Southern Brewhouse and True North Investments were also recognized as small businesses of the year by the chamber.
