A little rain didn’t slow them down.

The David Kelton baseball camp wrapped up on Friday, and dozens of players stayed busy while running around the soggy grass at Cleaveland Field at Phil Williamson Stadium.

“It’s been a good week,” said Kelton, LaGrange College’s head baseball coach. “We’ve got a great group.”

While the first three days of the camp were held under sunny skies, rain on Thursday and Friday morning left the field wet, with pools of water visible on the infield, but the show went on.

At the close of the camp on Friday, Kelton gathered the young players together and gave the camper-of-the-week award to 5-year-old Crawford Hutchinson.

Another camp will be held next week from Monday through Friday, and anyone interested can go to www.davidkeltoncamps.com.
