LaGrange Barber Shop opens new location on parkway

The LaGrange Barber Shop has opened a new location after 14-years of business in West Point.

“There were not any classic barber shops on this side of town,” owner Christy Franks said. “We had outgrown our tiny hole in the wall at our other location, and so it was just time to expand and add another one.”

A year ago, Franks decided it was time to find a new location, in addition to the other spot at 2170 West Point Road. The new shop is located at 1302 Lafayette Parkway.

“This place is bigger and nicer than what we have in our other location,” Franks said. “Not only that but the community of LaGrange is bigger, and there was a market for this type of shop.”

The barber shop offers traditional services with a modern twist, including shaves, military cuts, no chemical products, hot towel shaves and more.

“We offer any haircut, long or short,” Franks said. “We will give you traditional styles, high or low fades, or old school [cuts] with modern twists.”

Clients can expect to see regular faces cutting hair but also some new ones.

“This is something we will grow and expand,” Franks said. “We don’t plan on going or moving anywhere. This is something that will be around for many years more. We are extremely excited to be here.”
