Troup County Parks and Recreation will host a Community Input Meeting on Thursday, June 20, at 6 p.m. to discuss recreation opportunities and amenities, according to a county press release.

The county invites the community to attend in order to contribute feedback pertaining to the overall improvement of Parks and Recreation.

The Community Input Meeting will be held at William J. Griggs Recreation Center, located at 716 Glenn Robertson Drive in LaGrange.

This community forum will offer a chance to meet with Troup County Parks and Recreation staff members, including new Director Lance Dennis, to share experiences, ideas, and preferences regarding the future of Parks and Recreation.

During the meeting, citizens of Troup County will have the opportunity to give feedback on the following questions and areas of public interest:

  • What types of recreation opportunities would you like to see more or less of?
  • What types of recreation opportunities is Troup County missing?
  • What are your preferences on aquatic amenities offered in Troup County?
  • What is your opinion on the quality of the parks in Troup County?

The county would like the input of citizens to gain feedback in relation to the existing recreation opportunities and amenities, as well as the current athletic sports and programs offered by Parks and Recreation.
