Mrs. Doris H. Bennett, 90, of LaGrange, GA passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.

Mrs. Bennett was born May 3, 1929 in LaGrange, GA, daughter of the late John Preston Heard and Louise Dunn Heard.  She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and was employed by Milliken and Company before retiring.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hoyt Bennett, Jr. and son, Robert Alan Bennett.

Survivors include a nephew, Terry (Anita) Woodham; several great nieces and great nephews; and sister and brother-in-law, Patricia (Ted) Hartman.

Celebration of Life service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Bingham and Rev. Bobby Robinson officiating.  Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.  The gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church.
