The City of LaGrange is now accepting LaGrange 101 applications for 2019.

This is a free class hosted by the City of LaGrange to give local citizens an opportunity to experience an inside look at city government. The goal is to develop informed and involved citizens.

LaGrange 101 is a six-week class that will meet Monday evenings from 5:30-8 p.m. Each week participants learn about two departments of local government.

The first class will be Monday, Oct. 7. The final class will be Monday, Nov. 5. Graduation from the class will take place at the LaGrange City Council meeting Tuesday, Nov. 13.

The application deadline is Friday, Aug. 30 at 5 p.m. Please email completed applications to Katie Mercer Van Schoor at kvanschoor@lagrangega.org or drop them off in person in the marketing/communications office on the third floor of LaGrange City Hall at 200 Ridley Avenue. Only 15 citizens will be selected for LaGrange 101. Applicants will be notified if they are chosen by Friday, Sept. 6.

To be a part of LaGrange 101, applicants are asked to submit three concerns they want addressed about the City of LaGrange. The presenters will incorporate the concerns submitted into their presentations each week.
