Jodie Wilbur (J.W.) Railey, passed away on July 12, 2019 at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. He was born on January 23, 1928 to the late John Railey and Molly Florence Bates Railey in Troup County, GA. He served in the United States Air Force and the United States Army and was a painter in LaGrange for many years.

Surviving are his sons, Wayne Railey (Pam) and Darrell Railey; daughters, Phyllis Brannon (Rickey) and Delores Bowen (Greg); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. The family will be hosting a time visitation on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Lakeview Baptist Church from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Higgins LaGrange Chapel will be conducting a graveside service at Meadoway Gardens beginning at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Muscular Dystrophy Association.
