Local business helping kids get ready for first day of school

Any kindergarten through fifth grader can get a free manicure and school supply items Monday, Aug. 5, at the Nail Factory.

“We are local and love all the locals that come and want to give back to the people of LaGrange,” said owner, Kelly Kim.

From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. multiple nail technicians and volunteers will be set up to help pass out 400 school supply items and paint nails.

“We want as many people to know as possible so we can help give,” Kim said.

Kim said that they are all excited to host the event and that it is first-come, first serve.

“We have had lots of people message us to help out and to paint nails,” Kim said. “We have volunteers to give out supplies, so girls don’t have to wait long.”

If there are any left-over school supplies and backpacks, Kim said that she is going to hand deliver those to schools.

“I have lots of teachers from different schools that come in here and get their nails done,” Kim said.

There will be no appointments that day, walk-in only. Nail Factory is located at 1510 Lafayette Parkway, Suite D3 in LaGrange.

Correction: We recently wrote that there would be 400 backpacks to give out but it will be 400 school supply items.
