Virgil “Jody” Blackmon passed away Saturday. Son of the late Clarence Blackmon Sr. and Lonzie Lee Blackmon was born on September 11, 1946 in LaGrange. He attended Ethel Kight High School and retired from Smoker Craft Inc.

Survivors include his children , Tracy Blackmon, Marilyn (Toney) Delaney, Kenny Andrews, Jennifer Andrews, and Delton Epps; stepchildren, Toney Stargell and April Lynn Stargell; brothers, Clarence Blackmon Jr. and Robert Hubbard; 28 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The Service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem. The family will be at their home at 808 Monroe Street.

The excellent care of Mr. Blackmon is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
