Mr. Donald “Don” Hale

Donald “Don” Hale, 71, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2019, at Hospice LaGrange.

Don was born Sept. 30, 1947, in LaGrange, Georgia, son of the late Dorothy Hale.  He was the owner and operator of Don’s Dock Service for 44 years and is the owner of Don’s RV Storage.  Don was a Troup County volunteer firefighter and a member of the scuba rescue team for Troup County. He enjoyed dirt track racing and was an avid deer hunter back in the day.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Drinkard Hale; children, Sky (Jeff) Rudbeck and Brandon (Mary Margaret) Hale; step-children, Christy Coulter (Steven Keeth) and Blake (Kelli) Coulter; granddaughter, Breanna (Jon) Woodward; step-grandchildren, Will Noles and Lindsey Coulter; and numerous extended family members and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange, Georgia, with the Rev. Max McCord officiating.  Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 pm. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Wellstar West Georgia Hospice in memory of Mr. Donald “Don” Hale.
