CedarCross Media has expanded to an office space in downtown LaGrange and had a ribbon cutting on Wednesday to celebrate the new location.

The owners of the multi-functional visual arts, digital advertising, marketing agency do not consider CedarCross a typical video production company. 

“For us, every business has a brand and every brand has a different story,” said owner Corey Faulkner. “It is up to us. It is our responsibility to make sure that we connect with the client and understand the vision they always wanted to tell. It is our responsibility to go in and tell that story for them and make a huge impact on the audience.” 

Before moving into the marketing, video production world Faulkner worked for Caterpillar for 15 years in LaGrange. 

“Over the years, I fell in love with video production,” Faulkner said. “In 2015, I started this business and then in 2016 I had the opportunity to leave Caterpillar and go into this business full-time.”

Owning his own business has been a goal for Faulkner since working with his father, who owned a plumbing and construction company. 

“I always wanted my own business,” Faulkner said. “I always have had an entrepreneur mentality and after falling in love with video production, I saw a big interest to go that route.” 

Faulkner can equip any company, small business or person with essentially any type of media they need, including marketing, branding, film, photography or design. 

“We offer full scale video productions like commercials, documentaries, short films, long format films, animations, logo designs, web designs and marketing,” Faulkner said. 

Faulkner’s business is a family affair and his wife, Brandy, who works as office manager. 

“I came on the team last November (2018) after we made the decision and prayed on it,” Brandy said. “He was trying to keep up with everything, and we worked out of our house for a little bit. Separating business life from home life is what made us decide to get an office.” 

Brandy said they are more productive in their new office away from home. 

“I help him get potential clients, so he can focus on clients we already have,” Brandy said. 

Whether a small, local business or a large brand-name company CedarCross Media takes a wide variety of clients who they want to work with. 

“I tell everybody there is a quote by Jeff Bezos (founder and CEO of Amazon) that says, ‘your brand is what others say about you when you are not in the room,’” Faulkner said. “If you own a business and you work your heart and soul, you want it to be world class. 

It’s our job to make sure we live up to our clients’ expectations and build their dreams upon that.”
