Cafe Detour, on Vernon Road, announced Wednesday morning that it will be closing its doors for good on Friday. 

According to Cafe Detour’s Manager Brennon Harrington, the store owner decided it was time to close its doors and focus on his other restaurant.  

“We are very sad about it,” Harrington said. “We will run normal hours on Friday, but after that we will be closed.” 

Harrington said that there are currently no future plans to reopen the restaurant. 

“Thank you all for your love and support throughout our journey,” a post on Cafe Detour’s Facebook page said on Wednesday. “Friday, Aug. 30 will be our last day. We have gained wonderful family and friends through this business and your support. We pray many blessings for you and your families.”

Cafe Detour is located at 1521 Vernon Road in LaGrange. On Friday, the restaurant will be open 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
