On Tuesday, Troup County Maintenance Tech Chuck Estes was recognized as Troup County’s second ever Strongest Link during the Troup County Board of Commissioners meeting.

The Strongest Link program is a new monthly initiative by Troup County meant to recognize county employees who demonstrate excellent performance and productivity, loyalty, professional pride and other noteworthy accomplishments.

“Our recipient for August was nominated twice this month by two different employees and was nominated last month as well by a different employee,” said Wesleigh Whittle, administrative assistant for the Troup County Human Resources department.

“When the committee met to select the recipient for August, they were all in agreeance that this employee always goes above and beyond, always has smile on his face and is always willing to help no matter is asked.”

Whittle said that the selection committee received 20 nominations for August’s Strongest Link recognition.

Whittle thanked America’s Best Garage Doors, Cofield Comfort Systems, Chick-Fil-A on Commerce, Creative Call Ins, Longhorn Steakhouse of LaGrange, Mudcreek Graphics, Stephens Exclusive, Van’s Hardware and Jackson Services for donations used as prizes.
