Mrs. Maureen Carver Eady

Maureen Carver Eady, 95, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019, at The Fountains of Cartersville GA. She was born in Anderson SC on July 8, 1924, to the late E.W. “Ted” & Ruby McClellan Carver; but, lived most of her life in LaGrange. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Raymond Eady; stepmother Mae Nichols Carver; and, two brothers Boyd Carver and E.W. Carver, Jr. Mrs. Eady retired from Deering Milliken and was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Julie) Eady of Randolph County AL and Linda (Eddie) McCollough of Acworth GA; by her grandchildren Alisa (Tony) Matheny, and Allen (Laura) Eady of LaGrange; Tracy (Chase) Brock of Acworth GA; Brandi (Stuart) Reynolds of Dallas GA; Chris (Tracy) Onstad of Fort Worth TX; Christy (Travis) Whitley of Saint Augustine FL; by her great-grandchildren (pallbearers*) Brent* (Emily) Matheny, Britney (Allen) Santos, Breanne (Andrew) Gaddy, Tyler* Eady, Drew* (Megan) Eady, all of LaGrange; Senior Airman Hunter* Brock and, Trevor* & Travis* Brock of Acworth GA; and, Kolby*, Kallen*, and Alayna Reynolds of Dallas GA; six great-great granddaughters, several step grandchildren; and, a nephew Mark (Michelle) Carver of Glenside PA.

Her family would like to thank friends for their cards, prayers, and visits; her Pastor Doug Bingham for visiting; her beloved neighbors Marvin & Margaret Allen, Jennifer Holden, Estelle Cato and Daphne Cato who loved, encouraged, and helped her feel safe in her home; and, special friend Jennifer Moore. Our family saw and also experienced the care, friendship, love, and prayers, our mother and her assisted-living family shared this past year. We are especially grateful to everyone at The Fountains of Cartersville and Heartland Hospice for their care and guidance.

The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday, October 5, 2019, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Unity Baptist Church. The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3 p.m. with Reverend Doug Bingham officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
