Mrs. Hazel McGowan, 85, of LaGrange, GA passed away October 4, 2019 at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice. She was born July 16, 1934 in Alvaton, GA to the late Preston Hardy Whitley and Maggie Ola Crews Whitley.

She was employed with Dunson Mill West Point Stevens for a number of years. Mrs. McGowan was a member of Baptist Tabernacle in LaGrange. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Charles McGowan and granddaughter, Crystal Kay Jones; sister, Rachel Crook, Gwendolyn Davis; brother, Jimmy Whitley.

Survivors include her daughters; Marsha (Lane) Jones, Sharon (Toby) Turner; son, Timothy McGowan, Danny (Jennifer) McGowan; twelve grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The Gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, October 6, 2019 at The Baptist Tabernacle from 3:00pm until 4:00pm. The Celebration of Life Service will began at 4 p.m. Burial will follow at Meadoway Gardens.
