Troup County will be launching a canned food drive on Monday, Oct. 14 as a part of their United Way donation campaign, according to a press release from the county.

The canned food drive will directly benefit The Salvation Army of LaGrange.

The county welcomes donations from the public and will be accepting canned food items for those in need as a way to give back to the community. There will be a donation site located on the first floor of the Government Center across from the elevators at 100 Ridley Avenue in LaGrange.

The Salvation Army of LaGrange seeks to meet human needs without discrimination through giving back to those in need through donations, guidance and encouragement. The organization offers rent assistance, utility assistance, clothing and food assistance and disaster relief services.

Troup County’s canned food drive for The Salvation Army of LaGrange will continue for two weeks, and donations will be accepted until Friday, Oct. 25, 2019.
