Mark Mitchell is running for reelection as the representative of District 1 on the LaGrange City Council. Mitchell has served one four-year term on the city council. In announcing his re-election campaign, Mitchell asked residents of District 1 to examine his service to the city and his voting record over the past four years.

During his first term in office, Mitchell said he “has shown a strong commitment to the city by addressing public safety needs, encouraging economic development and supporting residential growth.”  

Throughout his tenure, Mitchell believed he has “made responsible oversight of how tax dollar are spent his primary focus.”

Mitchell said he believes “city government has a responsibility to be ethical, transparent and cooperative with all community stakeholders as we work to make LaGrange the best place it can be to live, work and raise our children.”

If re-elected, Mitchell pledges he will continue to respond to all individual concerns and needs, and he will work to improve city government operations.

Early voting begins Monday, Oct. 14, and runs through Friday, Nov. 1, at the Troup County Government Center.  Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019.
