Mrs. Lera Lee May Cochran

Mrs. Lera Lee May Cochran, age 100, of LaGrange, passed away on Oct.17, 2019 at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. 

Mrs. Cochran was born on May 10, 1919, in LaGrange to the late Elonzo May and Nona Todd May. She graduated from LaGrange High School in 1937 and retired from International Playtex. Mrs. Cochran was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of LaGrange. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Cochran; siblings, William Lewis May, E.L. May Jr., Bonnie Weldon May, Lois May Sport and Doris May Pittman.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Womble of LaGrange; sons, Larry Cochran and his wife Jenny of Wilmore of Kentucky and Wes Cochran and his wife Missy of LaGrange; grandchildren and their families, Charles Womble, Eric Womble, Jason Cochran, Brad Cochran and Keri Peterson; great grandchildren, Isabel Peterson, Ivy Peterson, Autumn Peterson, Elijah Cochran, David Cochran, Grace Cochran, Josie Cochran, Stella Cochran, Mabel Cochran, Garrett Womble, Aby Womble and Bentley Womble; sister, Carmen May Schindelholz; nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
