Four charged with battery for incident in elementary school parking lot

On Wednesday at 6:16 p.m., deputies with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 300 block of Long Cane Road in regard to an adult male that had been injured in an altercation. According to a press release from TCSO, deputies met with a 19-year-old, who said he was planning on meeting an individual in the parking lot of Long Cane Elementary School to speak or confront him over a previous argument.

According to the press release, a man identified as Brenden Sellars, 19, and four other persons —— two adult males and two juveniles — pulled up in a pickup truck in the parking lot, exited the truck and began to strike the victim multiple times with their hands and feet. The suspects also allegedly stole two cell phones from the victim. Fire and EMS personnel also responded to the location and the victim was transported to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center, where he was treated and released for his injuries.

According to the press release, charged in this case were Justin Fuller, 19 years of age, Tazzman Wilson, 18 years of age, Sellars, and two juveniles. All have been charged with battery and strong-armed robbery.
