Around 7:50 p.m. on Sunday, officers from the LaGrange Police Department responded to reports of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the PeachMart Store on Ashton Street.

According to a press release from LPD, upon arrival, officers made contact with the store owner who said that a black male had entered the store and pointed a gun at the owner demanding money. The owner reportedly told police that the robber fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.

The suspect was described as a black male in his mid-20s, who was wearing a green camouflage vest and a long sleeve red shirt, with a white t-shirt wrapped around his face.

The Criminal Investigations Section responded and initiated an investigation.
