LaGrange sweeps Pike County

The LaGrange Grangers remained unbeaten with a 67-41 home win over Pike County on Monday.

Ten different LaGrange players scored, including Earley Sanders, who led the way with 13 points, including eight points in the fourth quarter.

D.J. Burks added 12 points, and he helped the Grangers get off to a quick start with five points in the first quarter.

Javon Brown also scored 12 points for LaGrange, and Blake Miles and Taylor Stephens added six points apiece.

LaGrange will carry a 4-0 record into Tuesday’s home game against Hampton.

LaGrange’s girls’ team also had a winning day with a 64-45 victory over Pike County.

Madison Coverson led a balanced scoring effort with 12 points, with eight of those points coming in the first half.

Holly Lynn added 10 points for LaGrange, and Corriah Williams scored nine points and made two 3-pointers

Qua Robinson also had nine points, Carmen Lynch scored eight points, and Kyla Campbell and Kamelah Kelley had seven and six points, respectively.

LaGrange (2-3) hosts Hampton on Tuesday.
