Every donation to Ark Refuge counts

As families gear up for the Christmas season, Ark Refuge Ministries is starting its preparation for the holiday.

The ministry is currently taking donations for its Christmas toy drive and Christmas dinner.

There are countless families across Troup County who do not have the luxury to buy presents for their children.

Ministries like Ark Refuge are making it their mission to help families provide for their children during the holiday season. They are not just collecting monetary and toy donations but also food items.

On Christmas Day, Ark Refuge partners with Feeding the Valley to feed families from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ark will also deliver meals to senior care facilities.

Since early 2000, Ark Refuge has served Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to the community.

We encourage you to donate the toys, food and monetary donation to the ministry or similar ministries. You never know who might be in need this holiday season. It could be a neighbor, friend, co-worker or someone in line next to you at the grocery store.

Imagine being a child, waking up Christmas morning hungry with nothing to eat. Although many of us don’t realize it, there are people going hungry in our community too.

Donations can be taken to Ark Refuge Ministries located at 504 E. Depot Street in LaGrange. The ministry is accepting new toys and canned foods. Closer to Christmas Eve, Ark will accept prepared meals and desserts for the Christmas Day meal.

You don’t have to be rich or donate anything extravagant, but every donation counts, no matter how small or large.
