Mr. James Michael “Mike” Tucker, 57, of Pine Mountain, GA passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough, GA.

Mike was born December 13, 1961 in LaGrange, GA, son of James William “Billy” Tucker and Charlotte Nell Smith Tucker. He was a long time member of Rosemont Baptist Church and enjoyed listening to Rev. Jimmy McMillian’s sermons. For a number of years, Mike worked with his father at Tucker’s Garage and later was employed with Propane Gas Services, Inc. He was a member of the Cattlemen’s Association and loved farming. Mike was an avid Nascar fan and was a talented racecar driver himself. Mike loved and will be missed by his family, friends, and everyone that knew him.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Joann Cotton Tucker; daughter, Britney Tucker (Scott Evans); sons, Will Tucker and Dalton Tucker (Lauren Steele); stepson, Joshua (Emily) McDaniel; grandchildren, Waylan Cummings, Harper Lynn Evans, Conway Tucker, Lane McDaniel, and Layten Evans; sister, Pam (Lee) Ferguson; aunt, Rochell (John) Brooks; niece, Brandi (Thomas) Dailey; nephew, Matthew (Kristen) Ferguson; special cousins, Echols and Linda Hart; great nieces and nephews, Evan Dailey, Liam Dailey, Macy Dailey, and Grady Ferguson; the Cotton family, several other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Jimmy McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Congregational Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will gather at the home of his parents, 1153 Oak Grove Rd, Pine Mountain, Ga 31822.
